Dear brothers and sisters, UHBE members,
Today we are together from everywhere in the world came to celebrate our 14th year of the creation of UHBE.
Indeed, since almost 100 years that UHBE was discovered by the great master after the long 18 years of meditation in the jungle of Himalaya. The second master who was a great Buddhist ambassador travelling a lot in many countries in South East Asia, have a great affinity with Vietnamese people. He considers Vietnam as his second hometown. More than that, on his last trip to Vietnam 1972, he taught for the first time the UHBE to the 5 Vietnamese. On the earlier 1980, some Vietnamese who have opportunity to learn UHBE, succeeded to escape to USA tried to spread the UHBE in the wrong way, for their personal profit and this cause a lot of harm to our organization.
Since 1996, after installing in Seattle, master Thuan and Co Hay , have a sacred mission from the great master to put UHBE in the right track, the right way, for the benefit of humanity. Both of them, they dedicate their life, in full time, for the UHBE. Since then, the UHBE never stops to grow up in United State and everywhere in the world. By example, just from the beginning of this year up to now, we assist at least 9 new centers were opened in America, Asia and the Oceanic continents. Thanks you Master Thuan and Co Hay for guiding us in a right way, a bodhisattva way.
As result, today we assist the recognition of the US government for the contribution of our UHBE to the benefit of the population. It’s a great honor and the pride for all of us.
I have chance to learn UHBE in April 2007 in Ottawa city, about 200KM (120 miles) away from my town Montreal. We were a group about 40 people who have some different health problem. We have to travel 2 hours go and 2 hours back every day. So when we came home, sometime, we arrive at late midnight. One thing that surprise us was when we wake up in the morning, we didn’t feel any tie even we are sleep very late. After finish the class, our group decided to open a center in our town, Montreal. And the first class was given to almost 200 people in November 2007.
While given the course in Montreal, master Thuan have suggested to open the class in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He said the Cambodia is a poor country which have no medicare system like us, so at least UHBE bring them the health enable to work for their living. So in February 2008, me with the help of other twenty volunteers from different centers, and especially from Master Thuan and Co Hay, we succeed to open the new class in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where about 200 people were attended. The new Center was opened on the same time.
On November 2008, we came back again with about 50 volunteers from different centers to open the class for the second time in Phnom Penh. About 200 people were attended. One miracle was happening, on the 6th day of the class, a lady was completely handicap since more than ten year after a motorbike accident, could walk from her chair to the donation box. Since then, she continues to walk as usual. On September 2009, we receive a permit from the government of Cambodia with status as NGO ( Non Government Organization) the same status as the Red Cross, OXFAM, Care, World Vision,..
On behalf of my countrymen Cambodian people, I would like to thank to master Thuan, Co Hay and all volunteers from different centers in the world, which put all their strength, their time, their finance to help my people.
